Veriti was recently mentioned in the 2023 Gartner® Emerging Tech: Security — Emergence Cycle for Automated Moving Target Defense report. According to the report “Automated Moving Target Defense (AMTD) has the effect of obfuscating, reducing, hardening or changing exposed attack surfaces by introducing preplanned strategic change mechanisms, deception technologies, and other cyber defense controls”. The Key findings of the report further states “Emerging technologies that introduce the ability to proactively and continuously morph and change IT environments and assets while simultaneously leveraging advanced deception features are set to transform the cybersecurity market over the next three to five years.”
According to the Gartner report , “AMTD incorporates four main elements – proactive, prevention-focused cyber defense mechanisms that continuously make changes to the IT environment, even before any threat is detected…and automation to orchestrate movement or change seamlessly within the attack surface.” As the report states: “AEIR technology has the power to revolutionize security operations by continuously monitoring for and alerting organizations to potential risks, enabling them to take proactive AMTD and AI-enabled steps toward mitigating threats before they cause damage.”
Veriti was recognized as a Sample Vendor in the Gartner report for Automated Exposure Identification and Response (AEIR). Veriti provides a unified solution that allows security teams to proactively identify postural gaps, misconfigurations, and false positive events across every integrated solution. By taking the threat prevention configuration as a baseline for the automated analysis, Veriti can remediate these gaps before they impact application or network performance. The platform’s pre-breach insights, root cause analysis, and automatic understanding of the organization’s risk posture enable security teams to prioritize and address vulnerabilities, effectively reducing the attack surface.
In the report, Gartner also mentioned that:” The key element of growth in AEIR is the ability to automate human processes and eliminate human patch and remediation efforts or avoid manual or human-driven remediation workflows.” We believe that Veriti’s consolidated security platform addresses these described functionalities from a unique and adaptable approach, making it an ideal solution for security teams who want to stay ahead of potential risks. By utilizing machine learning, Veriti is able to implement zero-business-disruption verification procedures, providing security teams with visibility into the security controls and mitigation actions necessary to protect their assets.
